A contemporary rustic kitchen for this rural setting. Using olive ash sourced from English Woodlands Timber near Chichester gave a good excuse to visit their idyllic woodyard, through which the South Downs Way passes, for timber selection. Sadly, once common, this versatile timber’s availability hangs in the balance whilst a means to control the Chalara Ash dieback fungus is sought. The ‘bull horn’ utensil hanging racks flanking the extraction add their own unique flavour to the cooking environment.
